Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of allegations of questionable actions towards female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
